  1. 1959

    Dorint is created - opening of the "Parkhotel in Mönchengladbach". The name Dorint goes back to the hotel founder Werner Dornleden(Dornleden International).

  2. 1967 – 1974

    Bundling of the first 6 hotels in Dorint GmbH

  3. 1989 – 1998

    Dorint Hotels & Resorts expands into the new federal states and Europe, growing to around 100 hotels.

  4. 2002

    Accor becomes cooperation partner and majority shareholder of Dorint AG.

  5. 2006 – 2007

    Spin off - A change of philosophy leads to a split of the chain: Foundation of Neue Dorint GmbH and repositioning with 40 hotels in the 3-, 4- and 5-star segment.
    Reactivation of the values "Cordial. Classic. Liveable."

  6. 2009 – 2018

    Neue Dorint becomes Dorint GmbH.
    Consistent further development of the portfolio through lease and franchise agreements.

  7. 2019

    Dorint Hotels & Resorts celebrates its 60th anniversary.
    DHI Dorint Hospitality & Innovation GmbH is founded, under whose umbrella the Dorint Hotels & Resorts, Essential by Dorint and Hommage Luxury Hotels Collection brands are managed.

  8. Presenter Constanze Rick and Dorint brand ambassador Ingolf Lück charmingly hosted the evening.

  9. 2020 – 2021

    DHI is struggling with the challenges of the corona pandemic and yet continues to expand strategically.
    With the Dorint Kurfürstendamm Berlin, the Dorint Hotels & Resorts brand is once again centrally represented in the capital.

  10. 2022

    The Hommage Luxury Hotels Collection brand is delighted to welcome two new hotels: the Gran Tirolia Kitzbühel and the Hotel Kö59 Düsseldorf.
